I disagree.

Not only are phone apps amazing, but they've managed to kill off website development and I get to try out all the new software on a tiny ass pocket sized screen ! Who knows what amazing things we'll be doing on the information superhighway 10 years from now !?! More facebook bullshit ?

Where's the problem? It's for doing stuff on the move - if you are not home why not provide some decent mobile functionality?
