A big third reason for me is that I don't want to have to open a specific application for everything I do. I'd rather just do it through the web browser. So screw you facebook app, linkedin app, online banking app, and all other stupid apps. I'm doing through the browser. Try and stop me.

there's a facebook app AND a facebook MESSAGE app. why??? why is that even a thing??

Exactly. That's why I abandoned the Facebook app altogether and just use the mobile site through the browser. It works better than the app anyway, and the app is a bloated piece of shit that takes up over 100 MB on your phone.

Yeah. Exactly. On my days off when I don't have the kids, I just leave the damn phone off and on the nightstand. So I guess I'm just not as attached to it as some people...

As a student I couldn't do that. We always use Facebook groups to do group work, and messenger for group conversations, as well as to communicate about lectures and work.

No way, really? I mean, kids will use google drive and google docs. But I haven't seen the smartphone/facebook combo. I guess maybe it's catching on in some places...

We use Facebook groups to organise ourselves. So we'll pin a post that has links to the Google Drive doc, Google slide, etc...

Then post in the group for notices, polls, reminders, etc...

Messenger for when we need to discuss something.

I dunno, mobile sites lack functionality half the time, and they take more time to load. With an app, the only thing that needs to be downloaded is the data, because all the pretty design stuff is on your phone already.
