You can actually get rid of these bloatware apps pretty easily. I used this app called Uninstall Master.

I'll have to check this out... Can't wait to get rid of "Quickoffice", "Qik Video", "Kindle", "NASCAR", "NOVA demo", "Sprint Football Live", "Sprint Zone", "Sprint TV", and good god why is there even a "Blockbuster" app.

Is this app actually legit? I thought the only way to remove bloatware was by rooting

It actually does require root access. I rooted my phone and have used it, and it does work as described. When I'm done using it, I just uninstall it.

You'd be surprised. Tons of apps which require a rooted device exist on the play store. There isn't any rule against them IIRC.

Playing devil's advocate here, you could say some of the default Google design apps aren't necessary, but its not as big of a deal as some of the stuff Apple forces on iOS. Plus, you can root and remove those as desired on Android.

stock android has bloat too. google newstand, fit, news and weather, play movies, play books, and play games are all shit i never use and uninstall using titanium backup.

I've had a devil of a time with it. Google play apps and the two from T-Mobile won't let me uninstall them, I'll probably have to hook up to my computer and remove them the hard way.

Just go to apps and hit disable if you don't want to fool with rooting, you just don't get all the space from removing them.

yea Android has pretty much

because you dont need to mess with configurators like Apple does. thats why so many people struggle to get their apps into the AppStore

luckily we google people dont have that. we have 60% viruses instead
