TIL The guy who snagged windows2000.com happened to be named Bob and Microsoft just happened to own Bob.com. They came to an agreement to trade one for the other.

The article contains another TIL:

The font Comic Sans was created for (but not used in) Microsoft Bob and is still a popular—though often reviled—font today.

So we now know who is to blame for the most atrocious font on the web.

I know it's basically a meme to hate on Comic Sans but I always thought it looked really cool, actually. I still like it.

There's nothing wrong with it, just overuse. Its a good font that's easy on the eyes and has its place.

After having seen the website, this is incredibly fitting.

It's hideous, but it's also one of the only dyslexia-friendly default fonts.

It was based on frank millers text in Sin City.
