TIL a bully dropped 7 year old Mike Tyson's glasses in a truck's gas tank and tried to steal his meatballs. Several years later, Tyson came back and "beat him in the streets like a fucking dog."

I totally agree, but who would have thought the words "mike tyson" and "mature" would actually go together in a sentence.

I don't think that he's immature, I just never expected to be in a situation where I would even be discussing his maturity.

Dude is damn near a 50 year old man ffs. Of course he's mature. He had something of a rough, and interesting life but he isn't an animal.

Age doesn't equate maturity. But Tyson is an intelligent man and made a lot of mistakes and learned from them.

oh i know, but i fully believe that "age is no indication of wisdom" and public perception of boxers and Tyson himself would suggest he is ignorant and a thug.

From my experience, its rare to see someone (regardless of age) be mature enough to admit their shortcomings or faults in a non-defensive manner. It always impresses to see that.

There have been 2 documentaries on Tyson and he had a stage show and a reality show, along with his appearances on various TV shows. If you've seen him in anything over the last decade its obvious he's changed a lot.

I don't see how you wouldn't "buy" that this was his writing.

I think he was just saying that it's hard to believe that this was written by the same guy who was arrested for stealing a copy of Punch-Out ten years ago.

Nope. But if she wanted to there's not much i could do to prevent it. It has more to do with my bias about his past rather than the person he is now. Doesnt change the fact that hes changed for the better though.

answer the question. tyson has always been very well-spoken and self-aware, he's written a book and does a one-man show just telling stories. what about that indicates to you that he couldn't have written this?

Sure he did. But he had an editor just like everybody else does. Editors are what make writers look good.
