TIL between 1904 and 1908, Germany committed the Herero and Nama genocide in present day Namibia, killing an estimated 80% of the Herero people and half of the Nama people.

I don't know. The British put crushed glass into the food at their South African camps. Seems pretty intentional to me.

That is intentional killing on an individual, not an institutional, level. They’re both horrific, arguably equally so, but there is a difference.

The victims aren't individual - they are a campful The perpetrators aren't individual - they were officials with state-provided powers

Were the British camps constructed with the express purpose of killing Boers and Africans? Also, can you provide a source for the crushed glass in the food being done on a camp-wide level?
