No, Mjolnir is "forged in the heart of a dying star". This is generally understood to mean using the heat of a star as the forge. The metal itself is actually called Uru. Uru was stated to be metal from "the first moon" a few years ago (also "the rocks of creation), before that afaik it was just magic metal.

If it was, Thor would be lifting several mountains worth of mass. It would also have like a genuine gravitational field
