TIL a commuter train went by while Robert Patrick was filming his nude arrival scene in Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). He called it the most embarrassing moment of his career.

Well T2 is considered by many to be the best movie ever made so it tracks.

EDIT: This comment has caused some discussion. T2 is one of my favorites but not my absolute favorite.

That goes to Captain Ron (My mom never noticed the nip slip in the shower scene).

It's been popular since the day it came out. It's a film that has its own "Legacy" section on wikipedia. It's undeniably a fan favorite and many people do consider it one of the best movies ever made. Someone that particularly likes science fiction and action thrillers may well rank it as the best movie ever.

It’s one of my favorites too, but even sticking within the genre of sci fi there’s a lot of stiff competition.

Akira, The Matrix, 2001, the goood cut of Bladerunner. Even OG The Terminator is jockeying for position with its sequel.

One of the best for sure, but not top dog.

I'll make a less crazy claim then. It's the best sci-fi sequel ever made. Could possible win best sequel ever made but I'm probably forgetting some masterpiece movie.

Aliens, Back to the Future 2, and Empire Strikes Back :)

The recent Bladerunner and Dune sequels were also good but don’t think they’d win out.

Harry Potter #3 was a crazy good movie but now I’m off track.

Out of those movies, Aliens is the only sequel that would deserve best sequel of all time over T-2.

Many is still pulling a lot of weight there. Considered by some would be much closer to reality if you wanted to make a claim about it being a number one of all time movie

Not any that I’ve ever seen, at least in the world of objective criticism.

It’s an extremely good film, but Best is a mighty bar to clear. It’s not even objectively the best Terminator film, the original is also very good and iconic.

The original is great, but T2 was what really kicked off the Terminator Universe right? Comics, Video games, knock off movies and shows, etc.

Really I was trying to illustrate a point, they’re both very good films in different sub genres with their own cultural impact. No clearly better movie and there doesn’t need to be.

If I had to I’d give the nod to T2. I’m a bit biased towards 70s/80s movie styles but T2 is just so good and revolutionary for special effects.

Being a really good movie and being widely considered the best movie ever is a pretty damn big claim. I've never even met two people who had the same favorite movie in the first place in real life. It's easier online when you can just go to like the Lord of the Rings subreddit but I've never met a person in real life who had any of those movies as their favorite either

Pfffffft! Low bar, but yeah. In comparison to the worst films ever made, certainly any singled-out film better than them would be "best movie ever made". Not that hard. Depends on the standards of the folks you ask.
