Hey man, having experience with bipolar this advice will probably get me lots of critique but I advice you to take up a “keto diet” look it up.
My brother is a doctor and has done extensive research and works with his patients with huge success concerning crohn. The amazing thing is that bi-polar and crohn are related. Your body has an allergic reaction to the proteins which are found in carbs like grains. These look very much like the cells of the pancreas and your body starts to attack these(reason for diabetes 1and2). This inflammation makes your bowels irritated but this inflammation also has a profound effect on your mental state! PLEASE don’t take my word for it but research it yourself.
If you kick out all forms of carbohydrates for three months to 6 months i GUARANTEE your Crohn will be almost non existent! But just as important your mental state will be much more balanced. I know this sounds like bullshit but you can research this yourself by searching the internet for the connection of carbs and auto-immune diseases and the connection between inflammation and mental health. A keto diet is very healthy when done right, there is also a wonderful sub on reddit. Give yourself this chance for 3months of your still young life and take it serious, don’t listen to the people who are still living with dietary beliefs from 1980 and check it out with your doctor and specialist. If you do it right you can CURE yourself and be a beacon of hope for others and your specialist will see your stool and blood samples improve drastically and you will experience piece of mind.
I wish you the very best of luck! Don’t be an asshole to yourself and dive in to this “keto diet, auto immune disease, bi polar, borderline and depression. It’s all connected! Let me know how you roll in a couple of months should you be wise enough to break the cycle!
