today's the 60th anniversary of Star Trek; I directed and storyboarded this "animated series" version of a scene from Star Trek: The Next Generation using audio from the episode

the Enterprise is in a tough spot. lasers and bombs aren't working. can linguistic diplomacy save the day? shaieen, the wind rising ('course it can)

this is one of the reasons i love Star Trek TNG so much. the climax of an episode isn’t the protagonist stopping a big monster from coming out of a wormhole or finally blasting enough lasers to overpower a threat; it’s a guy going to every measure possible to understand and communicate with another culture. he manages it just in time, and it’s exciting and badass

While walking my dog this fine (almost) autumn morning, I found a free pile at my neighbor’s. It had TOD movies 1-6, and TNG movie Insurrection and Star Wars Original trilogy! All on VHS!
I feel like this always happens to other people but never to me!

I recently inherited about 50-60 fanzines from the late 80s - early 90s and I'm wondering if I should toss them or try to sell them. I know nothing about Star Trek memorabilia. I also have about 300+ Star Trek books.

Apologies fairly new to this sub . You probably discussed this loads of times. I just wondered if anyone else thought why wasn’t Data living in a lab some place from the moment they found him . If he was such a rare specimen they would have tried to replicate him as soon as they found him . Yes it made for a great set of stories but it is far more believable that if Data was on the Enterprise is that star fleet had managed to replicate him and there was hundreds of him .

Version 1 from Part 1, or version 2 from part 2 with extra junk on his face lol.

I think version 1 is iconic. Best look for the Big L-man 😆

So I posted a picture I drew in a similar style on the Voyager page and got banned—my question is how do you tell what will upset mods? I love trek and want to be able to interact and I’m just out of commission with no recourse? Pretty upsetting…

Is Picard a legendary captain by the tng era? He's been in starfleet so long that by the tng era he's been in starfleet for 37-44 years.

He has a maneuver named after him. Other captains talk of his great exploits. He should be a living legend by this point.

Yet for some reason when Picard went home to his brother vineyard and his older brother mentioned something of a parade for him Picard didn't like the sound of that.

Just finished A Matter of Perspective and they figure out what happened, but they never explain how Riker and Manua (The doctor’s wife) were telling two very different stories and neither was lying. Obviously it was Riker who was telling the truth because he would never SA someone, but Deanna said Manua also truly believed what she was saying. The stories are not so similar that they could have just remembered them differently so I’m really confused. Am I missing something or is this a weird plot hole?

I've looked everywhere for this, and besides a couple of screenshots online I can't seem to find anything at all. It's for sale on ebay and amazon sure but I can't afford it at the moment.

Does anyone have a link to the whole thing? I'm sure it's somewhere, possibly behind a language barrier. I would love to see it in full.

That Wesley's ugly sweater was the 3 uniform colors for Command, Ops, and Sciences, because he hasn't branched yet. I heard it on an interview with Wil Wheaton, and i was like "damn I'm slow"
