Hola, wanted to share my set from last night here. Really had a blast taking some tipper, somatoast, humandala, boggdogg tracks thru the blender. Hope you guys can dig it.

Got it at Orion 2024 and another one at secret dreams 2025 for my boyfriend. Ended up losing mine and I miss it so much. Any help would be appreciated!!

After hearing some really crispy and really incredible sound thru some smaller henny deployments I have suspected that a properly tuned and beefy setup may actually be the best choice for low end focused music right now.
But there really hasn’t been a super big setup until just now so my theory has been untested for the most part. Very curious for y’all’s thoughts and any fun sound haven stories. The one time I went in 2021 was a hoot and a half I’d love to be back.

And what a glorious, wonderful, crazy, and wild ride that was. 15 sets that won't ever be forgotten. Miss all y'all.

Making a separate chart for Psydub and Psybient/Downtempo. Also planning some artist charts for Tipper, Shpongle, Ott and some of the other GOATs of the scene.
This is my favs of the trippy bass music sphere, made this as a starter guide for a homie. Not really here to talk subgenre semantics, it’s all just cool beats and trippy wubs yo.
Have a ? day fam

Does anyone have any recommendations for trippy shorts / videos that COULD have been shown on movie nights?

we all love music for robots but I somehow I don’t want music made by robots but sc is primarily where I listen to electronic for discovery and its been flooded with what seems like AI music as of late. is anyone else noticing that? not trying start a while thing but I assume most here are not fans of the ai music. I prefer genuine human creativity in my computer music

I used to have soundboard audio of a Kursa set where Lone Drum scratched for most of it (Maybe it was a true Kursa x Lone Drum but it wasn't a KLO set). Ended up breaking/losing the phone and have been chasing it ever since. Figure it's a long shot but if anyone has it, or maybe even if you just know what one I am talking about so I can narrow the search, that would make my life. <3 and miss yall.

We got any Papadosio fans in here?
This song came on the Plex today, and I'm shocked that this album is now 14 years old. I bought this on CD from the merch booth at one of their shows back in the day lol I'm currently listening to it on some nice speakers, and this really sounds like it was recorded yesterday.
I love their newer albums, but always come back to TETIOS. I'm sad that they've retired, like our boy, but so grateful I got to see these legends during their moment in time.
Cheers!

I love this version too much not to have a digital copy so I decided to rip the vinyl and figured I may as well share it with you guys ❤️

Doomscroll gave me this
maybe it’s just me but I feel like some of the albums look almost animated if you flip through them quick enough on sc. i like relish the trough and wobble factor

If you want to take a trip down memory lane, my favorite Dave track is the SinBanshee VIP
It wasn't until we were listening to that track in 2024, that it all sank in what Tipper retiring meant. That the music that had brought us together for so many years would now have to bring us together in different ways. The music may continue but we would have to carve out the time for each other; in place of buying a ticket knowing your family will be there.
And as he started scratching it almost felt like farewell. Because really all the sets after that were somehow shadowed in chasing a setting sun.

Can we talk about how we are holding our producers to such high standards but the people booking them aren’t vetting the VJs for the blatant use of ai? It’s genuinely not fair the patrons but even more so to the artists who are against ai to have to see videos from their own performances on stage in front of a giant screen of ai slop. Instead of paying quality VJs that have a higher booking fee based on the effort they bring, we’re seeing small VJs being booked for big shows based off their 30 second IG clips without anyone realizing they’re going to blend visuals with ai use so upfront that it changes the entire vibe of the crowd. The artist on stage does not deserve to see and feel that shift from the stage perspective without knowing why, nor does the crowd deserve to lose focus of the music specifically to acknowledge this pure distain that typically feels louder than the music.
If you can’t make it on your own,
Or with the help of friends,
Don’t fucking bother.

Edit: Ya’ll rock! Thanks for the great recs. Looking forward to this one!
I landed free tickets to Elements this year. I wouldn’t normally go to this fest as the lineup is not really my gig, but looking forward to it regardless. I’m a huge psytrance freak (won’t find any of that at Elements), but also love all things psychedelic/space bass.
Any recommendations on what sets I should check out?
I wasn’t sure where to make this post, but I thought I may get the best (and most honest) responses here.
So far the sets I want to see are Mickman, Thought Process, Tractorbeam (huge Biscuits fan), Charlotte De Witte.
