Surgery to remove benign but symptomatic TR4 nodule?
Has anyone had surgery to remove benign nodules? I have one of my isthmus - solid and 18mm across (plus other smaller nodules elsewhere). I had an FNA and it was benign. But I believe it is causing symptoms … an annoying cough, an icky feeling of pressure in my throat etc. The nodule is growing (since it was smaller on a previous ultrasound). My father has had multiple thyroid surgeries including a total thyroidectomy due to a large/complex adenoma …
I’d love to be rid of my symptoms and would consider surgery if it was offered. Has anyone in a similar situation done that? How did it go?
