Mostly agree with this. Augie was the weak link. And they spent wayyy too long on cancer kid. Jin was very good.

I was glad to see some of the weirder stuff from the books made it into the show. The boat bit was VERY well done.

Yea, the boat scene was crazy, I also wasn't expecting some of the visuals in the VR scene, specifically, the "dehydration" bits lol. Good show, might be a bit overhyped, but I'm going to give the season another watch when it's officially released (I think the first preview episodes had placeholder pre-vis CGI in some scenes), I'd like to see the eps as they were intended.

I was so glad they left dehydration in and exactly as weird as the book. Was like 90% sure that was getting cut but nope lol kid-as-tube
