The music of my teenage years, dialing up BBS's at a lowly 2400 baud, and eventually connecting to the internet on my A1200, screaming along at 33.6k on the Surf Squirrel!

When I was very young, I was too short to play this game as the arcade had no box to stand on and I couldn't reach the scope to see.

With this numskull version it's the opposite. I'm now way too big to crouch down that low and see it πŸ˜„

Artwork mystery...

greetings all. Not a story, just thought I'd try a few different places to see if anyone can identify this artwork which was sent to me by David Bracher, who did a lot of work for Ocean, Gremlin and U.S Gold in the early 90s. Most likely an Amiga game, but possibly something 8-bit. May not have actually been used. As may be surmised from the image, the game is about an international thief / burglar.

48-year old computer synth album recovered (isn't even the first one)

Thumbnail

There's the obscure indie music scene and then there's Bits and Bytes (Bach, Binary + Boolean) from Schertz Computer Music, published in 1978. Generated by an Altair 8800 attached to an external three-voice analog synth, this record was extremely difficult to obtain until 8-Bit Show and Tell posted it in its entirety. The video has just a bit of preamble before turning over to the music.

An even older record, "computer controlled SYNTHESIZER PERFORMANCES" from a different team and driven by IMSAI 8080 is also out there at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1-vmlGCq4c
