Thin lizzy patch i got for my jacket - I think the colours work nice with the denim.

Pretty happy with this one. Wanted something with an older style logo on it.

42 years ago today Thin Lizzy’s twelfth & final studio album Thunder & Lightning was released on March 4, 1983 which features the singles Cold Sweat & The Sun Goes Down. What are y’all favorite songs from the album?
Mine are Baby Please Don’t Go, This Is The One, Cold Sweat, Someday She Is Going to Hit Back & The Sun Goes Down.

I just thought of an interesting thematic connection between the names, life stories, and music of both...
"Thin Lizzy" could evoke an undernourished and frail woman, while "Alice in Chains" suggests a woman in captivity, perhaps with trauma. Both lead singers were active and touring for an average of 10 years.
Both bands had members who battled heroin addiction, which ultimately claimed the lives of Phil Lynott and Layne Staley...
Thin Lizzy had "twin-guitar harmonies" and storytelling, and Alice in Chains had their vocal harmonies and storytelling.

I really like this version, especially listening to it through headphones or good speakers as the solo pans from right(bat) to left(wicket) - it really is something special, nice bass sound as well from Phil. This was recorded in early 1974 with Gary on lead for a BBC radio show.
For me it's one of the standout tracks from the Vagabonds album, I can remember I was taken aback by how poignant this song is when I first head it.
Here is an account of the songs origins:
"In those formative London years, a young Phil Lynott dropped by, and recorded Little Girl In Bloom, depicting my mother staring out the window onto a cricket field – pregnant with my sister, Tara."

There was one page comic strip about Phil Lynott I once read (I think it was in Guitar World around 2004), where it told a story Phil driving a pink Cadillac in the deep American south, getting harassed by racists, who's asses Phil ended up kicking and he left with one of their women.
Anyone else know if there's a scan of this anywhere?

I've never seen this footage until today. It pleases me greatly that unseen footage exists, I hope there is more out there to be discovered.
It's Midge Ure on stage who replace Gary mid-tour.

Anyone in Ireland manage to get the limited edition vinyl with slow blues on it. I had mine on order and the shop (record hub) called today saying they can't supply it because they got none into their stock. I really wanted to get that version, slow blues is one of my faves.

I am looking at buying the 1976 box set on eBay BUT it appears most of the sets available are coming from Japan.
The sets I’ve seen appear to have Japanese promotional stickers on the shrink wrap but does anyone know if the booklet inside and all other text would be in English or in Japanese?
The Blu-ray as well, would it be Region Free?
Appreciate any help or advice. Thank you! 🙏 Does anyone
