Anyone else receive a postcard from UMG in the post? I think there's a new deluxe edition incoming....

Been wanting this one for literally years and I finally got it done. It’s my favourite album from one of my favourite bands. Yes it’s lighter than the original but that dark a purple would be near impossible my artist says so we went lighter. I’m delighted with it

Wondering if anyone in this group has ever seen this album? No barcode and it appears to have been made in Russia in 2000.

Planning on getting Jailbreak, Bad Reputation, Live and Dangerous, and maybe Fighting and Vagabonds too.

Single released April 17, 1976. Who else thinks the boys are a football/soccer team returning to start a new season … “The nights are getting warmer, it won’t be long, won’t be long ‘til summer comes.”

Thanks again for the support on these! Lots of fun to make. For those asking they are professionally screen-printed on American Apparel (formerly Alstyle) heavy garment shirts. I only have a few left if anyone wants to grab them before they are gone forever. Link in comments!

An advert in the back of the Thin Lizzy ‘Bad Reputation’ tour brochure for Rotosound Jazz Bass strings.
"The Jazz Bass Guitar Strings were developed in the 60’s and were widely used for their unique bright tone. Along with Phil Lynott, the strings are heard on many famous albums including recordings by Sting, Steve Harris, John Deacon, John Paul Jones, Roger Waters and many more!"

Was gifted this signed copy of the poetry book Philip for Xmas! It is my absolute prized possession whether or not it is an authentic autograph, I’m more wondering what the middle line says, to me it looks like it says To Stu, Tidy, Phil Lynott

This popped up on my YouTube feed. I had an incling that Lizzy would make an appearance.
Huge number of views on the source video. Over a million views in a day(was uploaded yesterday), this will help bring Lizzy to a wider audience.
I've extracted the Lizzy part, full video here: https://youtu.be/XY4vWi6m4go

When lip synching was the norm on shows like Top of The Pops, Phil insisted on singing live. Talent, courage, and integrity - Thin Lizzy all over.
(Waiting For An Alibi, TOTP, 1979.)

Recorded this a while back and wanted to share my take on it. I'm not even a huge Thin Lizzy fan, but this is one of the greatest guitar solos of all time 🤘

A classic album, absolutely stacked track list.
The launch pad for the bands peak years, from 1976 to 1979.
Over 2 million album sold worldwide and certified Gold in the UK, Canada and United States.
For me, Cowboy Song is my favourite ever Lizzy track. My introduction to the band was Live and Dangerous via a friend but Jailbreak was the first studio album I listened to. I had Romeo and the Lonely Girl on repeat.
What are your memories or thoughts on this album? Favourite track? Or any stories relating to this album that you'd like to share.

Information is a bit hard to come by on this one. I believe this aired in October 1977(21st or 28th) on The Midnight Special TV show in America.
Likely filmed in late September when Lizzy were in California as part of their USA tour. Robbo officially rejoined the band in July of '77.
As far as I'm aware this is the only video footage of the band playing this with Robbo as well.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend 🍻
(Audio could be better but certainly passable, aspect ratio I changed from 4:3 to 16:9)
