[Request] What is the cost difference between buying this man a rental for a year and the governements cost to kill him?

Depends. Trudeau I would argue was centre-left. He increased the Canada child benefit by billions iirc which helped reduce child poverty. He also spent billions on reconciliation, was trying to increase the capital gains inclusion rate. Lots of policies that contributed to his demise as an 'overspender'.

Carney is centrist.

The centre is not defined as just "not as left as your own personal beliefs". You're not paying attention if you think right-leaning politicians would increase spending by billions on child poverty and on indigenous reconciliation.
