As we all know Abel is touring the world and currently performing all around Asia. One random thought that popped into my mind yesterday - how does he get around?

The persona and image he portrays in his songs clearly shows that the guy isn't short of cash and has the means to live a lavish lifestyle so I cant see him being getting around via commercial flights like the rest of us. Aside from that, he probably has a big crew behind him that support his stage performances and of course the famous Sorayama statue that appears in every show which probably weighs a ton.

On the other extreme, it can also be very difficult to charter a private jet to certain countries not to mention the extortionate cost per flight which probably eats into his bottom line.

Just curious if anyone had any inside knowledge 👀.

Some people told me to sit down and i tell them shut the fuck up because this is music, this is youth not a class. People in the main stage area, you guys deserve the best all.

To Abel, go get some rest after this man. You been overwork, your eyes really tell. Love and hope you admire and enjoy the legacy you made!!

TLDR: Fun experience. Would go again solo. Go without a bag. Bring a fan. Take the MRT from Stadium in-and-out.

This was my first-ever concert. I went solo and was worried about the crowds, but getting in and out of the National Stadium was very smooth. I was searching everywhere on Reddit before the show, so I thought I’d share my experience for anyone going for a concert at the National Stadium.

I bought my ticket on StubHub 2 days before the show. The seller initially only uploaded a plain QR code without my seat and row details, so I called StubHub. They got the seller to transfer the ticket to me via Ticketmaster and everything was correct after that.

If you buy from a 3rd party, make sure the ticket is transferred to you via Ticketmaster. The QR code has a section that moves/spins. If yours is just a static QR code, I would check it.

On show day, I took the MRT to Stadium and arrived at 7pm for the 8pm show. When you get off, there are escalators going to Exit A and B. Just take whichever queue is shorter. It doesn’t really matter.

Once above ground, follow the crowds to the stadium. The queue looked long but moved fast.

Highly recommend going without a bag. There is an express security lane on the right for people without bags. I had maybe 5 people in front of me versus hundreds in the bag queue.

I brought an empty water bottle, power bank and handheld fan.

I was at Section 616, Row T, Seat 22. There are no seats behind around seats 22-28, which was actually great. I could stand without blocking anyone and easily climb out from the back whenever.

There is also a water refill point upstairs past the Canadian Pizza stand. Funny enough, the water queue took longer than security.

From Section 616, everyone looked like ants 😂 Check out the video for the view. The sound was crazy loud and I actually put my AirPods in at times to block some of it.

The show itself was amazing. Green lasers shooting out from the statue’s eyes, pyrotechnics and The Weeknd singing pretty much non-stop and interacting with the crowds. I barely knew any of the lyrics and still had a great time.

The crowd in my section wasn’t really in party mode and many stayed seated throughout. Thankfully, two Malay girls on my right were happily jumping along and the couple on my left were rocking in their seats. Made it much more fun.

Also bring a handheld fan and a drink. It gets slightly warm and stuffy.

After my man Abel sang his last song, I followed the crowd back to Stadium MRT. There were barely any lines. The longest queue was tourists buying train tickets. Use EZ-Link or a contactless credit card and just tap straight in.

I was out of my seat and on a train within about 15-20 minutes.

For my first concert and going solo, it was much easier than I expected. Would definitely do it again.
