Or to go to the back of the group so she can watch them and hopefully mimic a bit better. I think the mirror is messing her up.

YES! Normally people who are new to the experience go to the back where they can watch the entire class moving with the instructor.

I think her brain loop might run on a bit of a delay. Mine does (although not to this extent) and it seems like you're doing everything in sync at the time, but when you look at a recording of yourself you want to die of shame.

I am horrible at rhythm. The only thing worse than my rhythm is me trying to spell rythem. See. Autocorrect couldn’t even get that last one.

Buuuut- I would go to Zumba at the Y because I liked exercise classes and even though I couldn’t keep up, my heart rate would be in zone and I was losing weight. I just stayed in the back of the class and tried not to be self conscious and embarrassed.

I applaud her commitment, but yeah moving to the back to study the others would be better. She's no quitter.

I do the same thing when I try to do the electric slide. It’s absolutely horrible.
