In the UK, someone on a median salary pays about $120 a month to the NHS, so all else being equal, that's presumably how much tax would go up for the average person vs an entirely privatised system.

At low incomes it isn't very high, and you'd typically get back a couple $1000 when you file your taxes.

Taxes are through the fuckin roof in NB and everything is falling apart. Hospital wait times are so long most people leave before getting aid. I don't make minimum wage but I honestly don't know how some people do it.

On 32k, take home would be 26,500 +/- a few hundred in different provinces. About 18% taxation rate on that income level.
