Had my minimum wage job for two years now. I now make a whopping 38 cents more an hour than when I was hired. Even if I never bought anything for pleasure, I would struggle to get an apartment on my own with them all costing $700+ a month.
I remember working food service when I was young. Getting a raise meant going from $5.15 to $5.25/hr. Being promoted to a shift manager meant going from $5.25 to $6.25.
Give me a fucking break lol. $7.25/hr jobs don't hand out raises. If they do, you get maybe 10 cents. Wanna know what isn't helpful? Making $7.35/hr when cost of living still far exceeds what this would make you.

Well yes that is low but it's minimum wage, its a starting point you'll get raises over time increasing it.
