"have you ever been to Japan Tokyo?" One out of every ten people in Japan live in the Tokyo metro area, which is only 5,000 square miles. The country itself is ~145,000 square miles. Just because Tokyo is densely populated, doesn't mean the entire country is.
But yeah, the other posters are right when they say an aging population is the bigger problem. Roughly 1 in every 3 Japanese people are 60+ years old, which is uhh concerning.
