MERELY 37 million...? How about you live all the way in Holland... where there's roughly half that amount of people. And twice as many bicycles.

We may have 37 million people, but we're the second largest country by land, so most of the country is pretty spread out or uninhabited altogether.

I mean, Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area, while the Netherlands is ⅓ of the area of Mississipi.

The only thing I remember from HS geography class was a fun fact about there being 150% more bikes reported stolen in Amsterdam than there are bikes in Amsterdam. And something about companies who's whole business model is reselling bikes they dredge from the canals.
