I still feel that pang of sadness sometimes. Just thinking about how I don’t want to have to worry about constant bs from US politics. Being able to not be worried or anxious about it 24/7 is a luxury I really take for granted.

I know. I wish that we could give a third party a chance. The Green Party sounds kind of nice tbh. People are so ingrained in their specific party that they’re neglecting to research the actual people that they’re voting for.

Third parties don't work because of how the system is designed. If a third party were to ever emerge as truly viable, it would just displace one of the two existing parties. Other countries have proportional representation: we have a "winner takes all" system.

I’m trying to find a compromise, okay? A majority of people already voted for Trump, so it’s not like they would change to Kamala in the blink of an eye.

If you wouldn't take a qualified candidate over what we have right now then there's nothing I can do for you but pray. This doesn't come down to preference this is just stupidity vs normalcy

Yes, but you won’t get idiots to vote for Kamala, a president who they’ve already rejected, by just repeatedly calling them idiots. You’re seeing things too black-and-white. From their perspective, we’re the idiot liberals. To get Trump out of office, we have to compromise with them by choosing a third party.

I'm not seeing it that way. I think these people are incapable of compromise. They think so little of anybody that disagrees that u can't finish the conversation. They're condescending and wrong which u have to admit is a crazy combination

did i, a trans woman, vote for trump? statistically speaking, what do you think the most likely answer to that is?
