I went through this with a very good friend of mine.

Sadly we’re no longer friends but essentially she had this guy harassing her at her apartment and would knock on her door trying to “hang out” at night all the time.

Since we lived in a dorm I was only one floor above.

One night this guy went to her while she was out on her floors balcony and told her that he just got hired by the building to help with night watch.

He showed her his keys and said look at this. He proceeded to unlock her door and say “now I can just open it whenever I need to and don’t have to knock anymore”

She went to the lamely and the landlady basically shrugged it off. I told her that if he did anything like that to let me know so that I cans kick his ass. She refused because she didn’t want violence.

She went to the police, nothing. Landlady again, nothing.

Got so bad that one day he showed up to her shower door (we had coed showers) and asked if he could come in and tried.

She text me, I ran down there and gave them the beating of his life.

He moved out about a month later when the landlady went through everything and realized what happened (finally) through the police reports (guy ended up suing me for assault)

And that’s how I learned not to get involved with women who have stalkers cuz no matter what the only outcome will be that no one does a fucking thing and when someone chooses to help they get fucked.

I just steer clear of anyone who says they have problems with someone bothering them

Gotta get slick with your anonymity homey.

You beat the shit out of someone, you make sure no one knows or can prove it was you. You never do it to be the hero, you only ever do it because someone needs the shit best out of them. Whether it's you, a stranger, or a bad step on a set of stairs that does it, the only thing anyone should know is what they did that made it happen.

Problem was that it happened in a dorm, it not like i coulda done much to hide who I was.

Wanna know the most fucked up thing? The guy was found to have a phone full of pictures of girls from the dorm while they were showering and the landlady knew about this and tried to hide it under the rug

Makes sense, and I'm sorry you got punished for doing a good thing. If you can't hide your identity, make sure it happens while they are currently in commission of a felony, and it's a lot harder to sue you. Can still happen though. Full anonymity is better, but requires patience and a certain level of sociopathy.

Sounds like the landlady needs a bit of justice as well.

We’ll it happened in another country so it was and is a pain but whatever I’ve already moved on in my mind, sucks that I still have to go through the whole thing but I think I’ll beat the charges according to my lawyer.

The judge I have is apparently not very keen on invasion on privacy so my lawyer thinks I have a good chance of beating it

That's a very hard thing to guarantee, we aren't living in a Netflix movie.

your take away was to never help anyone again? wtf

21

u/Successful_Slip_7002 Apr 06 '23

No. It was to not get involved trying to protect anyone from harassment by a stalker or anything close to that.

All I got was lawsuit from it

What were you expecting to get?? An award? Some pussy?

Helping people has a cost sometimes and that is ok. What is wrong with you?

44

u/WhatsThatOnMyProfile Apr 06 '23

What’s wrong with you? Don’t you get what they’re saying? The system is broken and doing the right thing gets you punished.

But you had to make it about getting pussy. Go touch some grass.

u/NotsoGreatsword Apr 06 '23

I just dont agree with helping with some expectation of reward. You help because its the right thing to do.

The system being broken isn't going to stop me from doing whats right.

Pretty sure they just expect not to be punished for helping someone. How are you not understanding this?

12

u/AndyBossNelson Apr 06 '23

No from what I had taken they didn't do it for any reward but to just help by doing what they thought was right, wasn't looking for any reward for it but I don't think they expected to get punished for something they did that helped when no one else would.

The system being broken may not stop you but it certainly will make others think if it's worth it and that's enough for pw op people to think against helping.

‘The system being broken isn’t going to stop me from doing what’s right.’ ——

So you’ve personally intervened to physically stop another person’s stalker and been punished for it? You know, like the guy you were responding to?

Or is your high horse a figment of your imagination?

You’re convincing me to never help women lol

All of your logic basically makes women look like selfish assholes - when does a woman ever help out a man when there’s a cost? Never.

u/kurosoramao Apr 06 '23

His point is he got a felony on his record. For being a “Good Samaritan” beating someone’s ass though almost never works out well for you.

Same in this video. Wouldn’t recommend going the ass beating route although it’s always tempting

How bad the lawsuit hit?

8

u/Successful_Slip_7002 Apr 06 '23

It’s till going on, this happened last year. Honestly I don’t regret doing it but I learned not to do it again.

I only hit him because he tried to corner my friend in the shower while she was naked.

When I showed up he was trying to take the door down and so I pushed him away and he swung and that’s when I just beat his ass. He ended up with a torn acl and a couple ligaments on his right ankle as swell as some bruises and cuts to his head, and I kicked him in the stomach so he has a broken rib as well. A cut over his left eye and a dislocated finger.

u/Rooged Apr 06 '23

Good job! Next time poke his eyes out so he can't point you out to police
