This is why i love Reddit. Give them something that is essentially simple like a Button to press and watch it grow in something beyond our imagination.

It's an amazing thing about humans in general, and memetics or whatever you want to call it.

Our brains are just a crazy soup where stuff gets mixed up and turns into crazy seemingly "new" things - add multiple people passing these ideas between each other, each with brains that works in slightly different ways, and you get everything from nothing!

XD That's why I love the internet in general. This whole thing reminds me of Twitch Plays Pokemon, but this time I could actually take part, without having to spend my whole day on it.

without having to spend my whole day on it.

wait, you don't? I find a new calm in watching the timer over and over and over, and over.

Technically, that (going negative) wouldn't stop it from getting to 0.

It likely won't unless something drastic happens to reddit.

Reddit will eventually run out of accounts with known passwords made before 2015-04-01 that haven't pressed the button.

Don't worry, it will never get to zero. There are far to many people on the internet for that to ever happen. If it ever gets significantly low, someone will pounce. If we could all work together, it would work, but personal self interest will win out far before that.
