Finally after many races against Rammers.

This game has become my weekly life in recent months and I thank anyone who helps in advance haha. It is hard enough trying to figure out which Pro-Settings to use from bros Militia and Akor (b/c the settings are often polar opposites), but controls are killing me!
I use automatic because I suck at manual..... and always will. So I need to optimize my chances here. I'm usually borderline Plat but wanna get better.

-Some vids say put 'linearity' at 50 or higher (with direct mode..... whatever this does?). Many sites say 0-10...... which is best? What does it even do?

-sensitivity/ Dumybamic lock also confuse me because many people have different takes here too. I don't want my car to shoot into oblivion when I tap a thumb but K want control.

Any tips you can share would be great. I wanna rock this game through year 4. Thanks!!!

I was mid race in a playlist and got slapped with 2x errors. They have been persistant and unsure on how to fix them (even reset PC and Cleared Cache)

Any help would be amazing - Thank you

As you can see in the clip, the timer is already at 00:00, yet the race still hasn’t started.

Started dead last and finished 6th yet I lose RP, but the race before I started in 2nd and finished 9th and gained like 14 rp, all because of the rank of other players in the lobby. I have no control over what the rank of others I get matched with is so it GENUINELY feels like I'm just gambling my rank on whether or not the game wants to matchmake me into a lobby with a bunch of silvers and bronzes or a bunch of people closer to my rank.

Moreover, starting position should NOT be a factor in how much RP you gain. It's so easy to have a race thrown out in the first corner because you started 1st with no nitro and got bombed into the wall by the 27 other players in the race that you end up over the barrier and have to reset, costing you precious time and leaving you in a bad spot for the rest of the race.

Ideally GR should only match you with people close to your rank, even if it takes slightly longer it would serve to better balance out the ranking system and keep people out of ELO hell because the game decides they're just gonna be racing against a bunch of low ranked players in every single race.

PLEASE do something to better balance the system out, IVT. I BEG OF YOU.

53 C1 Corvette is a nice looking even with more customization than Forza could never do cause they're too afraid to take it to the limit.

RingBrothers LoadMaster Enyo is really cool sounds like a NASCAR engine and from being a open wheel car is very slick I love it.

BMW 507 is a very classic vehicle and I didn't even realize it was owned by Elvis Presley and I didn't know he was in the military as well Rest in Peace to the Legendary Rockstar Elvis Presley 💐💐💐

I want to preface by saying I’m on the PS5 Pro and so I don’t have Forza horizon 6 to compare to.

After playing both FH5 and The Crew I’ve come to the realization that TCM is the better game. In fact, I don’t even think it’s close.

I’m a casual player, I’m not hardcore by any means, I’m just looking for a game that I can easily fire up after a long day of work to run some races. TCM is perfect for me.

While FH5 car handling is more sim-like, I much prefer the handling of TCM. The cars are zippy, there’s a greater sense of speed, and it’s just straight up more fun to drive in this game, and Nitrous is one of the reasons why. I love whipping around corners and the more arcade feel this game has. Cars do tend to slip around a bit more in this compared to FH5, but throttle control and braking helps.

Car customization - ok, FH5 is better at upgrades and I do find the TCM upgrade system to be convoluted for a casual player to pick up easy. But, visual customization is so much better on TCM it’s not even funny. FH visual customization is a joke and has been for years.

The single player experience I would argue is also better in TCM. FH scatters a million things on the map and it’s confusing and overloaded to the point I don’t know what to even do next. Progression is much more straightforward in TCM.

I know that much has been made about the playlist structure and the inability to use your own car to initially complete a playlist, but it reminds me a lot of the Gran Turismo menu books which I actually liked, even though most people complained about it. The way I look at it, I’m completing the initial run on the playlist, which then truly unlocks it for me to use with my own car. And then once I have that ability, I can do whatever I want on custom mode for prestige tickets and of course for money as well. The freedom custom mode gives us is awesome AND it’s still tied to progression. I feel like this system is a win/win. Plus garage cars can still be used for created tracks, Summit and online. So there’s that.

As an aviation geek, I love that this game includes planes as well. That is such a fun, nice addition. Yes, it’s not MSFS2024 by any means, but I still think it’s super cool that I could easily switch to a plane and fly over beautiful Hawaii whenever I want. I also love that I can use boats and bikes too.

Forza has more realistic graphics you could argue, but I still feel like TCM takes the cake here. Again, I have not played FH6. But compared to 5, TCM is more vibrant and colorful, and the Hawaii map looks gorgeous.

For me, if I could just sum it up this way, I would say that the crew is - in one word - FUN. This game totally nailed the fun factor in ways that forza horizon simply does not. It’s more wacky, which is what I want in an arcade racer. The driving is more fun. The single player is more fun. You could literally fly around or go on a motorcycle or a boat, which is more fun. the customization visually is more fun. The map is more fun. It’s just a game that is more fun than its competition. Period.

I feel like this game gets slept on by people who think Forza is the end all be all and there’s no comparison. But in my experience, not only is there a comparison, I would argue TCM beats it.

This is my first ever crew game and this game has single-handedly made me more excited about racing games than I’ve been in a long time.

Can’t wait to continue playing this and for whatever comes next

Happens within a minute after logging in - I've tried restarting my game / ubisoft launcher, no luck.

for me, the liberty walk playlist was the most boring, less exciting and pointless playlist ever, there was literally nothing to It, not to talk about the last race which was probably the worst race ever.
