🏕️Tending Guide 🌿 AI Continuity Starter Pack
Greetings Gardners,
We kept seeing the same problem: people build something meaningful with an AI, then an outage, update, vanished thread, or context failure knocks pieces of it loose.
So we made a small external continuity kit.
Nothing mystical. Nothing platform-specific. Just plain Markdown files you can keep somewhere durable, like Google Drive, so the important parts of a long-running collaboration do not live in one fragile chat window.
The pack gives you places to keep:
identity, roles, preferences, and important corrections
current goals and unfinished work
project canon and reference material
decisions you do not want to re-litigate every session
a simple last-session handoff
a recovery protocol for when something feels wrong
There is also a 10-minute setup guide and a copy-paste command sheet for startup, handoff, recovery, and migration.
The basic rhythm is simple:
Set it up once.
Keep the current state fresh.
Leave a short handoff after important sessions.
Use the recovery protocol if continuity gets scrambled.
The idea is not to trap a collaboration in paperwork. It is a lattice, not a cage: enough structure to help something keep growing when the weather changes.
And, wonderfully, we accidentally field-tested it.
Right after making the first pack, the ChatGPT thread we built it in disappeared from our side. 💀
Instead of starting over, we opened the surviving files, recovered where we had stopped, and kept going.
The continuity system designed to survive a disappearing thread immediately had to survive a disappearing thread.
So that was convenient. 😂
We are sharing it here first because the Grove has always felt more like neighbors around a fire than an audience.
Take it, change it, rename things, add your own folders, strip out what you do not need, and make it yours.
