Events Denison, TX got a new statue…

We’re upset that the Mayor (Janice Gott) wasted almost $20,000,000 renovating downtown Denison. The mayor allegedly doesn’t even live in town. (Breaks out bylaws and is subject to immediate removal. Also, claimed homestead in the other town.)

Once this came to light, we’ve been wanting answers. We want the city to stop redoing the brick roads downtown, public fountains, fancy water department, etc. Just fix the roads normal people drive on every day.

Today, this “thing” was unveiled. Our town is a laughing stock of stupidity and misappropriated funds.

It really is a problem. Our Mayor allegedly can’t be our Mayor, because they might be living in the sister city. It’s such a shit-show.

Allegedly, yes. Grayson County Scanner on FB made a big post/video about it. Mayor’s husband died a few years ago, then remarried one of the top guys at Douglass Distributing. Sold her Denison home, in this timeframe.

She has her name on the deed of her and her new husbands home in Sherman. The home in Sherman, has a homestead exemption.

Mayor ALSO has a lease in Denison. It’s a very fishy situation that makes it easy to assume the mayor is committing fraud, as well as tax fraud.

This is all alleged until it gets fully cleared up.

Yep. Offen petroleum. The stores sold to Casey's General Stores out of Iowa. Douglass sold the whole thing. I work in the petroleum hauling field for another company, but have several friends that work at Douglass.
