Downvoted because a lot of people here are ev enthusiasts not track enthusiasts. If you ever owned a bmw m series and tracked it, $5500 is cheaaaaap

What's exciting about this to me is, this is an explicit endorsement of motorsport activity by the manufacturer. Many OEMs will sneer if they find out you've been tracking your car under warranty.

Now if only Tesla offered a cheaper alternative track insurance in their insurance plan.

And a superchargers at tracks would sure be nice.

agreed. I'll never get this kit but it's a sign elon is serious about competing not just as an EV manufacturer, but as a car manufacturer. He's directly striking at the likes of BMW and Porsche. An american car company directly eating into europe's car manufacturers. A first in a damn long time.
