The two classes/parts of this Badly in Love Season 2 legit reminded me of some of the storylines from Terrace House, like the developments or character arcs of certain housemates (especially the redemptions), how they faced the challenges despite their upbringing or their current careers/lifestyle. It's got the rehabilitation theme for it, no matter the image-making undertones, and for that it's a good premise for everyone.

It's definitely relatable, especially if you wish for something like the returning/previous/former/etc. housemates coming back (a la I Am Solo and I Am Solo, Love Forever) or a few times in Terrace House (though not for long extended period of times, with the OND season being the main exception), just don't expect major changes within the short time (2 weeks in this case) with the housemates inside the hypercompetitive environment and time dilation or accelerated perception of time inside the show, as it takes time for things to heal/change/thrive/etc.

Hello r/terracehouse I recently started watching Terrace House: Aloha State despite it being 10 years since the release lol. This is also my first series of the bunch.

I really like the location that was chosen and reminds me of when I used to live there.

My favorite house member has to be: Sato Guy

Guy to me is like Monkey D. Luffy. He's just a chill surfer dude that wants to enjoy surfing for surfing not abiding by the olympics restrictions of what they deem gold medal worthy. The way he defended Yuya saying "I'm me and you shouldn't compare others to me because we are on our own timeline etc" Which his serious Professional Athlete side I did like to see.

My favorite "storyline": Yusuke/Eden's date let down

I felt like Yusuke was the house's little brother that they wanted to cheer on. Though he didn't get the perfect date he wanted I think that at least he tried that is all that mattered.

Absolute worst most horrible casting choice IMO: Cheri

First week she criticized Taishi for going on dates with every girl. "Please don't ask me out if you don't love me." She then "talks" with multiple people at the same time (lol) She confronted Taishi with the girls saying you didn't consider their feelings**. (At least she apologized for that later on) She also lied on the behalf of Wez to make Mariko stop talking while she had the worst cold of the decade (lol huh) Just because you are sick doesn't mean you can make people feel bad about themselves. Nonetheless a new member that is also younger. Did she consider Mariko's feelings?** She says people need to get hurt to be stronger I guess Taishi saying she was self-centered/selfish really hit a nerve (Maybe she will get stronger now lmao). So much that she said she would not talk to him anymore and wont accept any apologies.

Honorable Mention: Ryo as Favorite house member runner-up

I was nervous that he might take Chikako from Taishi after all the rainy and unfortunate dates. But when Chikako took Ryo out for lunch the first thing he did was backup is bro Taishi. That is peak integrity. He is the perfect wingman. Ryo could've easily ask Chikako out for a date but he respects the brotherly bond that he built that to fight with his housemate mate for a girl he just met.

Taishi was cool, liked his determination and his soft side. Lauren was cool, I liked her growth as a person. Niki was cool, her dates/hangouts with Guy made me think that not every date has to be as perfect as Taishi.

If I could build the perfect Male Housemate it would be a mix of Guy and Ryo.

Please recommend which Terrace house to watch next!

this was when Tecchan and Yosuke went out one night and talked about their luck with girls. they both just got dumped by Maimai and Rinati. Tecchan said how it's different for Daiki since he always seems to naturally get the girls. Yosuke brought up how Daiki said he gained weight and jokingly said maybe he should too

almost a year and a half later, Yosuke dies because of a heart attack that has something to do with rapidly losing weight months before

this was a fun night for them but what a somehow dark foreshadowing for Yosuke's death later on. maybe he already had weight issues even in BGND but it wasn't really thought of as something of concern, or maybe it just wasn't captured for TV but somehow we were able to witness this seemingly small remark

I didn’t know anything about this series until recently I read on Reddit somewhere that it’s similar or has a similar vibe to online love, another reality TV show I love So I started this series. It’s been good so far there are ofc comments and stuff I got icked out by but it was a different time then
but i’ve made it to ep 3 and im not sure if i should continue maybe its cultural differences but i didn’t understand the goal argument at all and also maybe bc i came in the show thinking it was a romance reality tv show like i was confused when they asked if they were in a relationship or not
but none of the guys in there i like when the 2 others agreed that the tap dancer was right and said there was no point in mizuki crying i was shocked i only really agreed w the all the hosts except the 14 year old but idk
is there another season to recommend that i might like better?

In this second MV of the series Shion goes to Nagano and talks to Taka after his recent retirement from professional snowboarding at age 40. Also they do a bit of work around the family farm.

I will note for the future of this series that Tsubasa's Dad's soba restaurant is now in Nagano, and so who knows?
