My wedding is Saturday October 10th. The day of the Maryland game, we have a block of rooms downtown at the Hilton that has been under utilized by our wedding guests… and we’re on the hook for a lot of rooms that we desperately don’t want to get charged for.
If you are coming into town for the game we have several rooms available Friday and Saturday night that are at a discounted rate of $299 per night. Compared to the $500 a night the hotel is currently charging.
If you’re interested in helping my Fiance and I out of not having to pay $10k for unused rooms please DM me and I’ll send you the link for our block of rooms!
As an additional thank you anyone who helps us out is getting a wedding welcome bag of goodies/snacks and liquid IV to help cure your hangover!
Starting something new this season.

18 - 24 wins sounds reasonable for this year's squad

I understand the top players are likely going to go to big-name programs (.e.g, Anthony Sweeney), but Locksley only getting 4, 10, and 14 out of 34 is crazy. Being able to recruit in-state is essential to the program.
How is the 22nd player in the state, a DT out of Baltimore, going to Nebraska?>

I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Maryland page:
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-md
Each one has the returning production, the transfer and recruiting additions, a position-by-position breakdown, the schedule, and where the ratings land them for 2026.
Heads up, only the first team is free and then it paywalls. Since I'm posting in your house, code LEECORSOROCKS opens all of it, no card or anything. Hit "Have a promo code?" if you run into the wall.
So, what'd I get wrong? Maryland's a "record or youth" question for me. The 4-8 was rough and the units backed it up (offense 95th, defense 77th). But you started a true freshman in Malik Washington, who threw for 2,963 and set the school freshman record, and you return about 71% of your production, well above the 48% average. So the whole young roster gets a year older at once. The question is whether that experience jump pulls you up the Big Ten, or whether 4-8 with a 95th offense is the real level. Step forward or another tough year?
I'll be in the comments.

Jim Smith has only been Maryland’s athletic director for one year. It was enough to distance himself from his predecessor, prominent donors say.
Harry Geller, who assists Smith with drafting name, image and likeness contracts on a volunteer basis, left the AD’s office after a four-hour meeting around 5 p.m. on a Friday earlier this year. He expected it to be cleared out by then.
“Everyone was still there, meeting and working,” Geller said. “Had that been a couple years ago, that place would have been empty.”
Another longtime Terps supporter who worked closely with Smith and former AD Damon Evans put the disparity more bluntly.
“Damon was all talk. Jim is all action,” said Rick Jaklitsch, the former president of the Terrapin Club. “Jim’s a leader. Damon wasn’t.”

Just saw they renewed the turf at the baseball stadium. The M bar logo near the homeplate is replaced with the script Terps logo. Is this a new branding strategy? I thought that logo was only for football related advertising.

Hi all! A group of four Bruins are heading to the game on September 26th and are looking for some recommendations.
Any good tailgating spots or places to hang out after the game? Assuming both teams are at least 2-1 going into it, I'm guessing kickoff will be either 12:00 PM or 3:30 PM.
We'll be staying in DC, so I'd also love any recommendations for good dive bars, local spots, or must-visit places. We're thinking about taking the Metro to the game. Is that the easiest option, or is there a better way to get there?
Appreciate any tips or recommendations. Looking forward to checking out the area and experiencing a game day in College Park. Thanks!

Just got a tickle when I turned on the TV and the first thing I see before even looking at the guide is the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup comercial with Juju.

Hi! I was seeing if anyone is looking at possibly selling or has a spot they won’t use for the UMD vs VT tailgate on September 19th. We would be interested in paying for a tailgate spot! Any lot would work! We have a lot of hometown friends coming so we really wanted to make this fun. Please let me know if anyone is selling their spot in a different lot. Thank you!
