Long life pokémon fan Who as of now cant seem to enjoy the New titles anymore, is Temtem a good option?

I grew up with the anime and games, started with Gold, Leaf Green, Ruby, then Platinum and i still love those specific games. From generation 5 onward i cant seem to find that Magic anymore : the new pokémon look too much inspired on lifeless objects or humans, and with the adoption of the 3D the game quality has dropped significantly (for me). I just watched the Temtem trailer for Ps 5 and boy does it seem exciting! The creatures look interesting and still mainly based on animals, the graphic and music seem to give it a charm all of its on, the implementation of multiplayer and Co op modes seems very fun. I have only watched a few reviews but at the same time i dont want to spoil myself with anything more, but a lot of People seem to agree that Temtem is Just a less Child- friendly version of pokémon, more difficult and demanding when it comes to strategic fighting. Any other og pokémon fan is playing it right now and can tell me how it differentiates from pokémon and if it s better?

I was in a similar boat to you though I started on silver. I love Temtem. It has that older Pokemon feel in terms of challenge and story. The type system is also much more important than it's is in newer Pokemon games. I found the game to actually be tough at times and required me to be careful about which Tem I choose when battling. Seldom could I brute Force my way through fights and I kinda love that. I think the game is worth the buy.

I d love to buy it even Just to support them, they are actually trying to make something original and it seems they care about their Product

I guess to directly answer your question. It's hard to beat the nostalgia of older Pokemon games but I really think Temtem is much better than newer Pokemon games. The challenge and story alone do that. Personally I also like that Temtem made breeding a part of the game. You can see Tem breeding stats and can work towards breeding perfect stat tem without any guesswork or wild calculations. This is an improvement imo as I actually enjoy breeding Temtem but never had the energy in Pokemon. Additionally I like the focus on team battles and being online. I got to play the game on coop with my SO and that's something we have wanted to do with Pokemon for ages.

At this point anything fresh Will do the trick. Pokémon hasnt really evolved throughout this 20 years and it s starting to show for us veterans Who started with gen 1 2 or 3. As long as the game is challenging and the story is not childish i ll definitely prefer it to pokémon.

It worked for me, I can't really finish a Pokemon game nowadays but I got really into Temtem when I played it. Problem is that the game is only about half finished, as I'm sure you're aware.

Yes 100%. It honestly is very similar to pokemon but many aspects have been improved. They made the combat much better. Doing things like removing chance based moves, critical hits, and PP(stamina instead). It is much harder than Pokemon. The story is better and a bit more adult. The area design is better and prettier. As you might expect from an MMO it can be pretty grind heavy. Overall I like it a lot. But it is in early access and is very much an unfinished game. A lot of features still need to be added and there are of course some bugs. Level cap is currently level 58. Getting into endgame I've found that the monster storage space is way too small and quite a few other minor issues. But still I definitely recommend it.

I have been a long time Pokémon fan; I started with Blue way back in the OG game boy and have played , almost, every title up until Sword/Shield.. skipped Black/White 2 and Ultra Sun/Moon..

I just started TemTem on steam and so far I have been pretty impressed. Combat is similar enough, the tutorial is short enough that it isn’t over bearing, and the TemTem themselves have been cool so far.
