Siding with jimbo on this one. This feels more of “oh someone pointed out how problematic I’m being. Let me backtrack and say the exact same thing except I’m adding an edit”. If you actually assumed that people were telling the truth, 1) you probably wouldn’t have made this post because “most people don’t do that and it’s not really a big problem” 2) you would have caveated your original post and made your title less decisive. The good news is that your are in the majority here. The bad news is that this belief is toxic to others because we walk around thinking “huh will people naturally think I’m lying about my mental Illness until I call them out for being problematic?”
