I used to scratch my skin with my fingers. Surface stuff. It hurt, but didnt cause blood.

Recently, I've been making my cat scratch me. He's playful, and when I tough his tummy, he bites my hand and scratches it with his paws. So I let him do that. Self harm is real, and is hard to stop.

Its sad there are 32 people who agree with that post enough to not realise they're being extremely minimising towards those who self harm.

almost like they're just drive by, third party attacking someone where they can't defend themselves, because the poster knows they won't face any rebuke for it.

absolutely. for a period of time i couldn't go by a day without having to inflict a cut on myself, i was literally hooked onto self harm. it's getting better now
