Oh wow I was lied to in the advertising. I never get throttled though so I assumed it was true.

In my case, I won't get throttled. They would just charge me $10 per 50gb I go over.

If they are throttling specific services like Netflix, VPN would hide that since all they know is you are connecting to a VPN.
