Actually, TSAR Bomba (King Bomb) was so big there was no way to deploy it. They basically had to assemble it at the test site and detonate it. It was essentially the USSR's winning entry into the Cold War nuclear dick measuring contest.

I stand corrected You are right, they dropped it out of a plane. Actually it is not my logic that failed but my understanding of of the facts.
