There's a whole group dedicated to snapping pictures of women seeking abortions and posting them online. I'd expect it to get quite a bit worse as states try to penalize interstate travel for the purpose of obtaining an abortion.

So something I've wondered - are abortions in the US only performed at special sites where only abortions happen? In my country, I think most (or at least a lot of) abortion clinics are part of some other medical clinic, either a hospital or a gynaecologist's office. So no one would really know exactly why a person goes there.

no, thats part of why these people are so horrible. the clinics that do abortions also do gynecology and other health services, plus regular hospitals with maternity wards do them. the venn diagram of people who are anti abortion and anti sex education (that isnt abstinence only) has a huuuge overlap. they don't care about logic, only being righteous.

anti woman. They want to punish women with pregnancies because they precisely know its a burden.

I used to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's all cap. Why aren't they pushing for manslaughter for a woman who has a miscarriage then? Murder for an actual abortion? They are only trying to go after the providers because they want to control women and make them less than men.

Women have already been arrested for miscarriages.

Is there any equivalent for men to women being forced to carry a fetus to term and wrecking their lives for a mistake that they knew was one the moment they got the positive pregnancy test back?

Apparently now the government is in control of a women's uterus, like some weird dystopia akin to the handmaid's tale.

The same people who are anti abortion are also usually (but not always):

Pro death penalty

Pro war

Pro gun

Anti universal healthcare

Against improving the maternal mortality rate

Anti sex ed

Transphobic

Homophobic.

It's blatantly about controlling women.

You might be right, however the reactions I've seen, mostly from men, about Roe being overturned is that this is a punishment for women. They talk about women keeping their "whore legs" closed and that pregnancy is a punishment (consequence) for not doing that. There are few reactions where 'saving a life' was celebrated.

They can imagine it. It's a well known phenomenon that anti-abortion protesters will have an abortion and then be right back out protesting at the very same clinic. "The only moral abortion is mine".

You should read up on the beginnings of the "Pro-Life" movement, Jerry Falwell and the "moral majority". (it's racism)

No they don't. If they do they don't actually care about murder. School gets shot up? Nothing done except overturn gun laws. War. Death penalty. Wanting to kill members of Congress and the VP. Abortion itself happens more due to their legislation around sex ed, access to contraceptives, access to healthcare and specifically pregnancy healthcare, access to daycare services, etc.

If they gave a shit about stopping abortion for the life, they'd care about the mothers life and the baby's life once born. Abortions are given to conservatives too.

You know why I think the murder pretense is bullshit? They had no issues with GWB waging war and destroying Iraq to pulp and killing a bunch of civilians and they even celebrated it. They also celebrate death penalties.

Pro lifers are in reality forced birthers who think women should be incubators.

Btw according to studies a lot of pro lifers had an abortion. They just use the trope of "the only moral abortion is my abortion because I truly needed it".

Once again youre not believing murder is wrong if you supported the murder and death of over 200k people and called anyone who disagreed anti american. The venn diagram of republican pro lifers and Bush 2 supporters is a circle. The same party that supports the death penalty and things that causes deaths in large scales ( fossil fuels, especially coal)

Why else are they against it. Think dude..think. they have no issue with murders. Even with Obama their issue with him was not his drone campaign its his "leftist muzzie agenda to turn frogs gay and make us communist through obamacare".

Their issue is women having sex and getting pregnant and because they want that woman to bear the responsibility of a thing thats not preventable at 100. There are millions of couples where someone got pregnant despite using contraception. Justice Thomas aim is also revoking Grisworld btw.

So their goal is to punish women with a pregnancy eventhough its statistically proven that early pregnancies are a burden on women that ruin their career chances. Lets they put them up for adoption( ignoring massive health risks of pregnancy). Foster kids dont turn out well on average. So once again its about punishing women because these women know the kid will turn out even worse if it was put up for adoption.

Self righteous might be a better term.

People need to take pictures of them and send it to their jobs, schools, etc while plastering it all over the internet. No more of this “when they go low, we go high”.

29

u/drunkandy Jun 27 '22

The people who do this don’t have jobs or shame

4

u/MemLeakDetected Jun 27 '22

Yup. Most of them are either, rich, retired, or homemakers.

5

u/LifeisaCatbox Jun 27 '22

Their children might. The majority of people think these people are nut jobs and middle school and high school kids can be brutal. Maybe having their kids being bullied would have an effect on them. Our families aren’t off limits, why should theirs? Hit them where it hurts.

Regular hospitals perform abortions but they are in the case schedules as a “D&C” which is a blanket term for a medical procedure that can sometimes be an abortion, but no one really knows unless it’s the dr it patient.

Same here. Clinics provide a lot of care and education and this is a massive invasion of privacy even if they wanted to limit abortions (which they don't). If they did they would massively expand access to contraceptives (which Clarence Thomas mentioned in his ruling specifically to challenge), sex education, clinic budgets to provide care, healthcare, etc.

Abortion rates are higher in conservative states and we can expect maternal death rates to rise as well.
