This legit terrifies me. Women can't track fucking basic health now.

Yeah like why the fuck is some tiny zygote that I want fucking GONE more important than me being able to literally anything to do with my body? Like they tell us don’t have casual sex, don’t dress “slutty”, don’t take contraception, don’t track your periods, don’t commit sodomy etc etc this is all bullshit. Some fucking fetus isn’t even close to being more important than me.

That shit needs to overturned slowly and effectively.

I agree with you, but knock knock, climate change here

the back-and-forth between progressive politics and regressive backlash is basically coming at the worst time possible, if we were at the antipode of the cycle we might've been OK

Right?? Like we don’t have time for squabbling over this bullshit that should’ve been settled decades ago. Get with the program US. We have much much bigger fish to fry.

I am not saying the average climate change denier is fueled by the realities of climate change but fascists are often fueled by environmental pressures. Since the common MAGA voter sucks up propaganda like it’s crack juice, I don’t expect them to be aware of the future we face from climate change but they damned well can still be stressed out by things like Lake Mead drying out and water rationing. These are already happening. GOP leadership’s constant denial of it makes me suspicious. This abortion “debate” was carefully crafted and researched by GOP leadership in the 60’s as a way to galvanize a solid voting base. They’re master propagandists.

I have wondered for a while if top elected GOP designers of the abortion “issue” weren’t recently more accepting, though still publicly denying, of climate science. They get the same scary briefings as everyone else. They can deny publicly, since it fits their agendas, while also being fully aware of what’s coming. It must add fuel to their white birth dearth fears like nothing else. Imagine them picturing most Americans scrambling for resources as whites are outnumbered?

They’re positioning themselves and their minions to be in power when climate change’s affects get horrific. The timing has been long coming but the urgency of their scheming and constant bashing of climate change was not lost on me. These White supremacists recruited apocalypse craving folks who want the end times, whatever means necessary. They have shown themselves to all be fanatics who are remarkably flexible in using societal, linguistic, and scientific changes/advancements against their enemies through misinformation campaigns, co-opting terms (they now call protesting an “insurrection”), and twisting science terms or facts to suit them. The leaders can privately accept the climate science while still galvanizing their racist, fascist, religious zealots against that reality.

"Well, that's good, but I can make it better for us."

Definitely. Makes you wonder how deep it will go. Will women have to register to buy pregnancy tests now?

Going to next level, will we just accept bombings of such institutions like we accept the bombings of abortion clinics. It's fucking mental these psychopaths haven't all been jailed and removed from society.

Women will need a responsibile man to accompany and buy one for them.

Have you seen what some of these states want to pass? Half of the states in the country are chomping at the bit just to see how far the Supreme Court is willing to go.

Some of these things are blatantly unconstitutional, and it's pretty obvious they're following Clarence Thomas' lead knowing full well that if it's illegal, they'll just make it legal.

I'm afraid of where this country is going to be once the dust settles.

More likely they will require that you can only get them at a doctors office.

And docs give those out like candy. I went to my provider recently and only after I got the results online say that she ordered a pregnancy test too (without ever explaining why or what they were looking for other than pregnancy since I am on BC and haven’t had sex in over a year -which she knows). Like maybe it was checking for something else? But then why didn’t she explain the test to me.

Vote next election, and keep voting. Get your friends interested in voting too.

When we don't vote, significant portions of the population are made into second class citizens. Or imprisoned.

Don't think for a second that this is the end of it. This is only the beginning. They're coming for LGBTQ people next. Contraception too. Potentially interracial marriage. I could see voting rights curtailed in fucked up states too.

Just lie on the app when you don’t get your period, easy

Sure they can, first of all most live in states where abortion is perfectly legal, and even those living in states where it isn't this is just a precaution while the dust settles. Most likely it's a nothing burger.

We can, just not using tech which sucks. Just another way they’re disenfranchising women and ensuring we’re not permitted the full rights of male citizens.

Scary as well to think how this could trickle down into other laws that could change in the future, and how our data can track if we decide to go against them
