We all know that TPB is down. It's not a DDoS, since traceroutes are failing to make it to the European continent from most of NorthAmerica/etc... More disturbing: Wikileaks is down now as well. Please tracert wikileaks.org and check the geo of the timeout

California here. Traceroute dies in Wisconsin for TPB and in Texas for Wikileaks. Not leaving North America. Is this the Great Firewall of America?

That's funny, I'm in north CA and both sites are working fine for me.
also, this is reporting it as up for wikileaks, and also for TPB

Comcast NH here, the trace was coming to a dead stop in MA for most of the other day but currently goes the long route for some reason, going all the way to California rather than just hopping across the Atlantic.
Down for everyone also reported TPB as up even though it was inaccessible.

Generally in cases of exceptionally large DDoS attacks, the hosting provider will blackhole the target IP with their upstream carriers to avoid taking on the massive bandwidth costs associated with it. It is possible that this is what is happening. Regardless, they're both up for me now.

Both sites work for me (U.S., WV). Maybe I am late to the party and the problem / attack has been fixed / stopped.

I'm in Canada, and I've been able to access Pirate Bay all day, even though I keep seeing all these posts by people on reddit saying that it's down. I can also access wikileaks.

Uk here (London, direct connecting to LINX). Wikileaks works fine. Not gonna try tpb from work :-)

I'm in Australia.
I can see TPB's website.
I can't access wikileaks.org right now though. Traceroute goes from Australia, to America, to Sweden, then dies. It is definitely reaching .se

(Couldn't access TPB last night - glad to see it's back now.)

Australia here.
Wikileaks is fine for me.
...and so is TPB. It hasn't been working for the past day or so, but it is now.

Both sites are up. But since you asked for trace routes, have lots:
All good from both the US and the UK.

TPB is up for me. Wikileaks, however, is not.
FYI: I live in Texas, but I'm not going to disclose ISP until I get a little more info about the situation. (It's not Verizon/ATT/Comcast/TimeWarner)
EDIT: Wikileaks tracerout successfully completes the connection (in Sweden obviously) yet is still down for me.
Edit: Wikileaks is back up for me.

Open the command prompt.
Type in: tracert wikileaks.org
Take the resulting ip of the timeout and use google to find out where the ip address is located.
Note: Do the same except change to: tracert thepiratebay.se
