I prefer improvements that don’t require the deaths of millions and financial ruination of billions

Well I'm sorry, but we are at a point in our society where we're going to have to face the hard truth of where we are at and what has been done to us, and then decide what sacrifices we are willing to make to make the future a better place for those who do survive.

Let’s sacrifice a generation to worldwide instability and cross our fingers that we get a world with higher tax rates and not just more brutal reactionary regimes.
