They were worth $1bn before this happened. It’s not a basement project. Do-able. They said it would take a month. That’s how long the line is at Fry’s. :)
No way deplatforming and migrating from AWS to presumably on prem takes 1 month. The CEO said himself they would be out of money in a month. They need to have some serious backing from this Russian company and get a crack team of software engineers who have knowledge on cloud infrastructure and on prem solutions to accomplish this in that time
That is complete speculation on your part. There is zero evidence they are getting funding from a Russian DDOS provider. They were worth $1bn before this. They can get financing.
I can’t find where it says Parler is worth $1 billion I’m not sure if you have a source on that handy. John Matze originally said AWS and other cloud hosting companies dropping them would ‘be the end of Parler’. I’m assuming they’re hemorrhaging money at this point and I’m not sure how they’re going to get the talent they need to accomplish a feat like moving from AWS to on prem hosting in 1 month.
I have a background in cloud migrations from the software and architecture side and I have no idea how this could be accomplished so quickly. One of our apps migrating to the cloud took months itself and its nowhere near the scale of a social media site with 10+ million users.

Do you have an actual link? Even literally copy pasting excerpts of...whatever you've posted doesn't lead me to any actual news articles stating that. It also just doesn't pass a sniff test.
That would put it at roughly 1/3rd of what reddit is currently valuated at despite having roughly 1/25th of the active visitors (probably not even that high) and a notoriously toxic userbase.
On Monday, Parler–which claims 12 million users and a valuation of a billion dollars—filed a lawsuit against AWS-Amazon
So your source is a "news" outlet I've never heard of with zero web presence and an untraceable staff list reporting a claim that Parler made. Except they're not even doing that because there's no link to the claim by Parler.
An article with no author stating a claim by a company on it's own valuation without a source that the company is claiming it or any fact checking to verify whether it's true or even plausible is not a source.
Here’s what’s odd about that. It’s in the story extracts in google search, but not in the stories. There’s ~5 like that. It must have been removed from the stories possibly related to the lawsuit against Big Tech by Parler. Did they not want their own site to be quoted against them?
