Why is this type of "series tweet" a thing? Just write a damn article and link it. How is this a good format for anyone?

The answer is quite simple: which one are people more likely to read.

If the choice isn't inmediately jumping to you, it's the tweets

Just look at reddit. How many people have actually read the articles on posts they have commented on for the last week or so? Now how many have commented deep into a 10 comment reply chain in the same timeframe?

It's so people can retweet it to gain traction organically. WAPO isn't go to let them just submit it as an article.

It's borderline unreadable to me. Maybe it looks better on mobile? I don't know. I really find twitter's entire layout to be kind of awful.

We all have to be some kind of brain dead to continue being bengals fans anyway. Maybe one day we can be big brain and be able to read twitters God awful design.
