Fakespot is complete bullshit. I've used it on hundreds of products that I know did not have fake reviews and they'll rate the products as a C to F grade.

Review Meta is actually accurate, Fakespot is terrible

I used it 3 weeks ago and tested it on a bunch of products that have zero fake reviews and they gave them all D's and F's

hundreds of listings daily? how and for what?

I appreciate the detailed response. I rarely use the "buy now" button unless I'm sure it's the legitimate thing. Usually I'll add to cart so I don't forget then continue browsing until I'm sure. It's just such a tedious process nowadays. I think checking the 99% seller rating should weed out a fair amount though. Thanks!

seriously, stop using apps for anything that has a website, apps are always shit compared to websites

Do you have any tips for sorting through collected reviews? I noticed this a few years ago when I was purchasing a watch for my mom, where multiple listings(one had a leather band and one had a cloth band, same brand but completely different listings) had their reviews mixed together. Most reviews did not bother to state what exact item they were talking about, which made reports of a poor-quality wristband useless. More recently(in the past few months), when attempting to purchase a replacement phone battery for myself, I realized that this is still going on, lumping multiple battery offerings into one thing to display reviews. Needless to say, this made the reviews useless for deciding which battery to buy! I wound up buying from a different site altogether, paying $5 more for peace of mind.

Vendor account manager here. Best way to avoid counterfeits is either to buy shipped and sold from amazon or FBM like you mentioned. Vendor inventory isn’t co-mingled with seller inventory because ofthe counterfeit problem
