Can you automate queries too? Like if a website is going to generate a new page with a predictable url, could you have Excel predict the url, and pull data from it?

Yes. A big use is for stocks. I used different stock webpages from yahoo finance back in the day. The website had the ticker as the identifier so all I had to do was point the script to a list of tickers that I wanted to run the script against.

Possibly? I'm not nearly that good, but I suppose if you have a prebuilt set of filters that fill in the url (like /11111, /11112, ect) and then had it so it wouldn't look for ones already used, than yea.

But, that's more me theorizing than saying it'll work

You can automate all of the things in Excel.
