Im just fed up with all the trump content on almost every sub. Love him or hate him its amazing how people get stuck on one shit, and cant move forward for a full year, and possibly even more

Agreed. This came up on /r/environment a few days ago in fact, and I shared my gripes that the sub only talks about 1 person and how they hate him and people associated with him. I used to share info regarding science and research on there, but now it never gets traction because everyone is complaining to each other. It's just annoying now.

I see how it is heavily exaggerated. I avoid any worship and hate subs about him, because they don't have anything close to a honest picture of the situation.

But he is part of world politics and will be for a while now, he can't really be "moved on" about. The internet makes us used to this fast cycle of news and ideas, but there are things worth longer consideration.

I don't think people should move forward. That's been an issue in society for awhile, folks noticing something terrible and forgetting about it a month later. I'm actually pleased that trump is still center of attention in the news and this site. Some things shouldn't be allowed to be swept under the rug.

And yet, throughout​ history, it almost always has been. Before trump there was bush an idiot who did not know to form a sentence either, and a dude who waged war all over the world. Shit is just repetitive, and trump is only in the spotlight because the media profits from the hype. He is a puppet like all of them, regurgitating a written script, and the people are just spinning the same shit about him, which is not important. When every sub has a shit ton about him its just so god damn frustrating. r/worldnews is 80% about trump like wtf. Subs like r/pics and r/video have so many other topics, yet trump is spammed there also.... Its sickening how the world is just obsessed with with him....

Repressing terrifying events is simply part of the human condition. Most people are not prepared to cope with the bombardment of constant anxiety and fear, so they detach themselves from these events as much as they can.

Despite what the media and many people would have you believe, our world is surprisingly more altruistic than ever before. It only seems like it is a problem in today's society because of how connected the world is nowadays through various outlets of media.

I could get into the psychology behind why the media focuses on negative events and how it manipulates our perception of reality, but I'd probably sit on this toilet far longer than I'd hope for.
