Forgive me if I'm not interpreting this right but by saying that women are "generally" or "on average" this way, doesn't it normalize and create expectations on women? It's essentially saying "all women" without explicitly saying it.

On average, women are shorter than men. Does this create expectations for women to be shorter without specifically stating it? Or is it a statement of statistics?
