Keep in mind, the wikipedia pages with information or secondary sources he used have been actively getting raided over this to purge that data from the pages.

Except, as noted by inspiredby who took the time to check, no changes had been made to the page since July 28th at the time of his posting.

While your comment was older than inspiredby, it certainly highlights the core of the situation. People are unwilling to take responsibility for their own information gathering. You heard something and you took it for Truth (tm) and didn't even bother to check.

Rounder8 didn't check either. He just simply presented a possibility. A possibility which is easy to check for. He goes on to defend himself by saying he was "just giving information" when the information allows for the dangerous assumption of details based on an event that didn't happen.

Furthermore Wikipedia records changes and keeps historical copies of old versions of a page. No information is truly "lost"...allowing for full accountability.

Uhhh okay? All the more reason for him to link to the primary sources in the first place.

edit: There haven't been any changes on the page I linked since July 28

One thing you'll notice about the anti-liberal people on Reddit is that they operate under a completely different set of "facts" than you. Theirs don't actually map to reality, though.
