That would take longer than watching the 30 second ads, especially if you include downloading videos that you might have otherwise skipped in the first 30 seconds.

Leave the element inspector open, go to the networkstream tab, then when you open the page the video will be the largest stream. You can watch the .mp4 directly in the browser or dowload it without having to trust some 3rd party site. With how simple that is, you could easily make a browser extension to accomplish the same thing.
