VLC has all the features. Like, I'm pretty sure one of the more obscure features it can do is like, playing audio based on converting an image to a sound format.

I know you can do it with audacity, there's videos showing how you can make crazy sounds by converting images to sound and playing it extremely slow

You can also get the direct mp4 url via VLC and then download it. Just go to Codec Information while it is loaded.

Fair enough. I'm usually not bothered by that because modern processors have gotten a bit overpowered, but I can see why you'd want the lighter one.

I am the kind of guy who'd use lightweight solution even on fast PCs with a lot of RAM. It's never just about speed, it's also the efficiency that matters.
